The 2013 George Main Stakes will take place under weight-for-age conditions and is open to horses aged tree-years old and upwards.

Scheduled to run as part of George Main Stakes Day, the race shares its program with the Group 2 Hill Stakes, Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes, Group 2 The Shorts, Group 3 Bill Ritchie Handicap and Listed Heritage Stakes.

Norzita has her sights set on the 2013 George Main Stakes this spring under the new training partnership of Bart Cummings and his grandson James Cummings.

The younger Cummings trainer is looking forward to helping to guide Norzita towards her 2013 George Main Stakes goal.

“Just to be able to talk to him about the horses and the routines and where we’re heading and what they’re doing. It’s a very privileged position I’ve managed to put myself in and that Bart’s agreed to,” James told The Australian.

“I’m really honoured and very excited about the future working with Bart.”

Norzita has won four of her 11 race starts and has earned more than $965,000 in prize money during her impressive horse racing career.

The Thorn Park mare is back in training following a long winter spell and a successful autumn racing carnival.
